Dates: Saturday August 9 and Sunday August 10

Location: Nelson Mandela Public School’s green playing field

 

TOURNAMENT RULES

1. The tournament will be played by children born in 1999 (U-16)

2. The teams will be co-ed with 12 players maximum

3. The matches will be played with 7 players, 6 plus goalie and 5 substitute players

4. The teams will wear the jersey of the country they represent

 

PRELIMINARY ROUND

1. The tournament will include 8 teams, divided in to two groups of 4 teams.

2.  Preliminary round matches will last 30 minutes, divided into two halves of 15 minutes with a 5 minute break.

3. The semi-final and final rounds (on Sunday) will be 40 minutes long, divided into two halves of 20 minutes with a 5 minute break.

4. The preliminary round will be played Saturday. Two games will be played simultaneously by dividing the playing field in two.

5. In the preliminary round, each team will play 3 games in its group and 4 teams will qualify for the semi-final round on Sunday.

 

SEMI-FINAL ROUND

1. The semi-final round will begin at noon on Sunday, between the 4 qualifying teams from Saturday. (2 teams per group)

2. The winners of this round will qualify to compete for the title of Champion of the 1st Youth World Cup U-16.

– 12 noon1st place Group Bvs. 2nd place Group A

– 2pmMatch for 3rd place

– 3pm Final match for Championship of Youth World Cup

GENERAL COMMENTS

1. Two tournaments will be played over the weekend: the Youth World Cup U-16 and an Adult Tournament for players more than 40 years of age.

2. Teams will confirm their participation at least 10 days before the competition

3. An advance meeting of team managers will be held one week before the competition for the draw of Groups, distribution of jerseys and discussion f Rules and Regulations.

4. The tournament for adults will be organized with 2 teams from Montreal and 2 local teams.
