Welcome to the second annual Pan American Food Festival!

We’re thrilled to be at Daniels Spectrum this year with another weekend of flavour and fun – Pan American style. Thanks for joining our celebration of the wonderful diversity of our continent. Did you know that there are 41 countries between North, Central and South America and the Caribbean? That means 41 delicious ways of preparing delicious local ingredients, mixing indigenous and immigrant cultures, and passing recipes down from generation to generation.

Our best example of this is our new event, Totalmente Tamales, where six chefs from different countries compete in a cook-off to show off their country’s version of this popular dish, and you get to vote on the winner! Our culinary curator, Mary Luz Mejía, has also assembled a stellar roster of international chefs to share their secrets with you in 20 amazing food demonstrations. Our acclaimed international guest chef is Norman Van Aken, the father of “fusion” cuisine, whom the New York Times has crowned as South Florida’s most gifted chef.

Another new feature this year is the Wine & Spirits Salon, where you can sample and learn about some of the best beverages in the Western Hemisphere. Don’t miss our musical performances and dance classes, then enjoy a delicious meal from our wonderful food vendors. You’ll also be able to leave the kids to enjoy crafts and soccer in our Kids Zone, while you browse though our street market.

All this would not be possible without the support of our venue partner, Daniels Spectrum, our corporate sponsors, community partners, fantastic planning team and wonderful volunteers. With so much diversity and fun, we hope the Pan American Food Festival will become one of your favourite annual summer festivals.

Buen provecho!
